AG 100 Hydraulic Models

S&A’s AG 20 Spreader

S & A’s AG 20 spreader can be used to spread commercial fertilizer, lime, gypsum, ash, compost, or light manure. It has a ground driven delivery system for accurate calibration, assuring the same rate per acre regardless of the speed driven. Rear twin spinners provide the ultimate in spread pattern accuracy. Its 3 point hitch configuration and small size makes this spreader ideal for the small farmer and for those areas where it is difficult to maneuver a larger spreader. Depending on material and gate setting this unit can spread 300 to 4000 lbs. per acre. This unit has a 2 yard capacity, is constructed of mild or stainless steel, and has a 24″ stainless steel drag chain. It’s overall width is 60″. Options include rear bander model, hydraulic or PTO driven spinners, and a hitch that converts it to a tow unit.

S&A’s AG 55 Spreader

The AG 55 spreader can be used to spread commercial fertilizer, lime, gypsum, ash, compost, or sand. It has a dual spinner configuration for an even spread pattern, a single axle for a short turning radius, a narrow 48″ wide hopper, and a 16″ wide stainless steel drag chain. Options include a 16″ stainless steel bar chain, mild steel hopper, a dual axle configuration, hydraulic spinners with ground driven drag chain, all hydraulically driven off of tractors hydraulics, a rear deflector attachment for side banding, and a rear auger type bander. This unit is designed with unusually steep sides so it is well suited for lime and other materials that tend to bridge. It has a capacity of 2 yards and up to 2 tons. This unit is capable of passing through very narrow vineyard plantings and delivering the material directly to the vines. The dimensions of this unit are: overall length 13 ½’, overall width 52″. The all hydraulically driven model is driven off of the tractors hydraulics so it needs 4 ports to run it.

S&A’s AG 100 Spreader

The AG 100 spreader can be made with a narrow 48″ or 60″ width with a 16″ wide chain to spread compost, lime, gypsum, and other bulk materials. With a 12″ side extension it holds 4 yards of material and will spread up to 3 tons of material per acre in one pass. This spreader is more heavily built than the AG 55 spreader, as it is was originally designed mainly for commercial applicators and is capable of withstanding much heavier usage with minimal maintenance. It is all ground driven and utilizes gearboxes instead of chains and sprockets so there are no chains to break or stretch, causing a change in calibration.

S&A’s AG 100 Hydraulically Driven Spreader

The AG 100 is available in this all hydraulic driven configuration. Hydraulically driven models have a pressure relief valve that will activate if the conveyor chain and/or spinners get jammed or locked up (by a large rock in the material for instance) and reduce the likelihood for the need for major repairs because of a minor mishap. The hydraulics are self contained being driven by a pump mounted onto the tractors PTO and have a cooling reservoir. The conveyor chain and spinners have separate flow controls so it is more versatile than a ground driven spreader and will deliver more material per acre than a ground driven spreader. If a good maintenance schedule is observed, this unit can save you a great deal of money in parts and labor in comparison to a gear or chain driven spreader in its lifetime.
