The AG 250 is a large capacity, all chain driven fertilizer spreader. At 3-5 mph it will spread an accurate 50′ spread pattern. It is an excellent low cost, easily maintained spreader designed primarily for alfalfa and other open ground applications. We also have a 5 ton gearbox driven spreader.
A standard AG 250 spreader comes equipped with a stainless steel hopper and a stainless steel rear spinner assembly. The 7″ stainless steel conveyor chain is ground driven off the tire to eliminate inconsistencies in the spread pattern due to change of speed. The spinners are also ground driven, with options of modifying to PTO or hydraulic spinner configurations.
The operation of the AG 250 spreader is very simple. It has a dog clutch mechanism to engage and disengage the unit. You can change the rate of material delivery by raising or lowering the tail gate, and by changing from high to low gear.
