AG 55 w/ Hydraulics and Deflector
This is a 2 yard, narrow, 1 to 2 ton capacity spreader that is especially suited for spreading lime, gypsum, ash, compost and fertilizer. Many spreaders have a problem with materials, especially lime, bridging and not unloading properly. Our soloution to this problem was to make the sides of the hopper narrower, and utilizing a 12″ wide conveyor chain. this increased the pitch angle of the sides. This solution also made the unit narrower, making it a great all purpose vineyard spreader, and a very versatile general purpose spreader as well. A standard AG 55 spreader comes equipped with a 48″ wide stainless steel hopper, and a stainless steel rear spinner assembly. There is an optional stainless steel deflector that channels the material to the sides, especially useful for generating a more efficient spread pattern in vineyard or orchard applications, minimizing waste. The 12″ or 16″ stainless steel conveyor chain or 16″ bar chain is ground driven off of the tire to eliminate inconsistencies in the spread pattern due to change of speed. The spinners are also ground driven, with options of modifying to PTO or hydraulic spinner configurations.
The operation of the AG 55 spreader is very simple. It has a dog clutch mechanism to engage and disengage the unit. You can change the rate of material delivery by raising or lowering the tail gate.
