Operation
The operation of the AG 100 DP spreader is very simple. It has a dog clutch
mechanism to engage and disengage the unit. You can change the rate of
material delivery by raising or lowering either the front or rear gate,
whichever applies to your current configuration, and by changing from high
to low gear. When shanking, you simply lower the unit so that the shanks
or coulters penetrate to the appropriate depth, engage the clutch, and
start pulling. On our models with hinged extensions, the extensions have
springs to hold the extensions in place in either position, and shear pins
to secure it in the out position. If the extension strikes an object with
enough force, the pin will shear, saving you a costly repair on a bent
auger and trough. |
